Abstract

This study investigates the potential use of holographic interferometry in the measurement of 3 dimensional deformation occurring in loaded cadaveric specimens in vitro. All measurements were performed on loaded cadaveric femoral specimens so that the data recovered from the optical system could be readily compared to published quantitated measures of femoral surface strain.
