Abstract

To the Editor: We fail to understand the calculation of sensitivity with respect to pyuria that Stamm et al. used (Aug. 19 issue).* They state that all 98 women with coliforms in bladder urine had pyuria, yet in their Table 1 the calculated sensitivity does not reflect this statement.
