Cerebral aneurysm

Abstract

A 55 year old, 78 kg female is emergently scheduled for subarachnoid hemorrhage evacuation and intracranial aneurysm clipping. She has a history of a previously diagnosed intracranial aneurysm and was already scheduled for elective intracranial aneurysm clipping. She also has a history of headaches, coronary artery disease, hypertension, cigarette smoking, asthma, and hypercholesterolemia. She is awake and alert, but with a severe headache. Her BP is 176/80 mmHg, pulse 84 bpm, RR 15, O2 96% on RA. She is currently on metoprolol, Lipitor, and HCTZ. She occasionally takes an albuterol inhaler for her asthma.
