Abstract

Three sets of experiments were carried out to account for water and macromolecular transwater and macromolecular transport and accumulation in rat cardiac valve leaflets. Using the experimental observations, a transport theory for water and macromolecules was constructed and compared with Tompkins various, qualitatively different profiles of tracer across squirrel monkey valves.
