Abstract
Diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) affects 15 % of couples that present for infertility evaluation, and is commonly defined as an elevated follicle-stimulating hormone level on day two or three of the menstrual cycle. DOR is associated with decreased number and quality of eggs retrieved during an assisted reproductive technologies (ART) cycle. As a result, couples with DOR have trouble conceiving on their own. While there is no consensus on what the best treatment regimen is for DOR, there are options that may offer success in enabling these women to achieve a pregnancy and deliver a baby. The purpose of this review is to discuss some of these treatment options for women with DOR who present for fertility treatment.
