Abstract
A patient with progressive tuberculosis refractory to chemotherapy with eight drugs has been successfully treated with transfer factor. Clinical recovery was accompanied by rapid conversion of cell-mediated immunodeficiency. Transient detection of circulating immune-complexes and hypocomplementemia were recorded during immunopotentiation therapy. A useful role of TF as an adjunct to chemotherapy of tuberculosis in immunodeficient hosts is suggested.
