Abstract

Atopic dermatitis (AD) and contact dermatitis are common eczematous disorders with different inflammatory mechanisms. They are both characterized by a serous accumulation in the epidermis and a dermal inflammatory infiltrate, expressed clinically as erythema, with or without concomitant edema and/or blistering.
