Abstract

Over the past 10 years, clinical pancreatic transplantation has been carried out at our center under varying circumstances, with different approaches, and with mixed results. In two patients, the feasibility of long-term pancreas transplantation has been demonstrated. There remains a need for better techniques, and most of all, for safer and more effective immunosuppression.
