Abstract
Two sisters with the familial form of Takayasu's arteritis are reported. In one, angiographic studies revealed not only the expected extracranial large vessel disease but also extensive intracranial vascular pathology. With steroid treatment, improvement of the neurological symptoms correlated with improvements in the patency of the cerebral vasculature. The progression of the disease and its response to therapy were followed with serial digital intravenous angiographic studies.
