Abstract

Seborrheic dermatitis is a common inflammatory skin disorder characterized by erythema, scaling, and flaking. It exists in adult, adolescent, and infantile forms, each of which is defined by age of onset, distribution of lesions, degree of chronicity, and, possibly, etiology. The condition is often seen with increased frequency and/or severity in patients with immunodeficiency or neurological diseases (Krfstin 1927, Berger et al. 1988, Marino et al. 1991).
