Abstract
We report a case of a comparatively rare primary non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the rib in a 42-year-old man. The patient complained of a strong pain in the left dorsal chest when coughing and visited our hospital. A computed tomography examination revealed a tumor shadow with a diameter of about 2 cm in association with a pathological fracture. A whole body evaluation suggested that the lesion had not invaded any other part of the body, and excision of the tumor, rib, and soft tissue was performed. The pathological diagnosis of the specimen was a diffuse large Bcell malignant lymphoma. The pathological findings suggested that a curative excision had been achieved, and no other treatment was performed. No relapses have occurred, and the patient is being carefully followed up.
