N1 - Funding Information: Different examples of global health initiative emphasizing partnerships and alliances between researchers, clinicians, corporates and academics were presented, such as the CARES Program from Beckman Coulter . Drs. Karen Hogg summarized a project lead by Professor Paul Kaye (University of York, UK), a consortium of European partners from European and African partners, funded by European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Program, to study the immunopathology of visceral leishmaniasis across four leishmaniasis endemic countries of East Africa and a vaccine trial in Sudan. The cytometers purchased for the project and the training provided will significantly enhance research capabilities of all sites involved. Funding Information: The authors would like to acknowledge Instruments 4 Science Task Force committee members in the following order: Alfonso Blanco, Co-chair; Bill Telford, Co-chair; Iyadh Douagi; Karen Hogg; Lydia Tesfa; Raif Yuecel; Francesca Ziolkowska; Jessica Houston (Finance Committee Representative); Paul Smith (Fundraising Task Force Representative); Zofia Maciorowski (Life Education Delivery Task Force Representative); Michelle Butler (ex officio); Andrea Cossarizza (ex officio); and Jonni Moore (ex officio). Alfonso Blanco would like to acknowledge the ISAC Scholar Program. We would like to thank ISAC for facilitating this workshop, the participants for their valuable contributions and Pansy Aung for helpful discussions and recording the supplementary video. The workshop organizers wish to thank ISAC for supporting this workshop. The authors would also like to thank all survey respondents and workshop participants for their insightful and innovative contributions to the discussions. The authors have no conflicts of interest to declare. Aja M. Rieger is an ISAC SRL Emerging Leader (2017–2021). The authors would like to thank Marta Monteiro, Institute Gulbenkian, Lisbon, Portugal and Miguel Garcia, EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland for co-moderation and documentation of the taskforce discussion. The workshop organizers would like to thank all those who responded to the pre-workshop survey as well as the enthusiastic and insightful attendees at this workshop. The authors acknowledge the facilitators (Michael Leipold, Adeeb Rahman, Jonathan Irish, James Lederer, Brice Gaudillière, Nima Aghaeepour, Elena Hsieh, Greg Behbehani, Radhika Rayanki, Christopher Groves and Christopher Ciccolella) for their generous time and scientific contributions to the workshop organization and panel discussion. The authors thank ISAC for the opportunity to pursue the idea of putting together this initiative. Many thanks to Roldan de Guia for the careful reading of the manuscript. The authors thank American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Flow Cytometry Action Programming Committee for their inputs and discussions. The workshop reports in Shared Resource Laboratory (SRL) Best Practices chapter were managed partially by Joanne Lannigan. We would like to express our thanks the Wiley—Cytometry Part A team for their help to successfully carry out this demanding project. Our special thanks go to, Dr. Julia Kostova, Dr. Marina Ostankovitch, Erin Hernandez and Steven Perez. Funding Information: In addition to funding, manpower is also needed. To establish the repository, programmers are needed to create the repository to specifications. Once created, administrators will be needed in order to curate entries and manage the repository. Although we have volunteers from the cytometry community, we might need to hire the services of programmers to create the repository. This will be possible if we get enough financial support from ISAC or from other funding sources.
