Abstract

The structural gene for human kininogen (KNG) was localized to chromosome 3q26→qter by in situ hybridization. The assignment substantiates the evolutionary relationship of kininogen to two other members of the cystatin superfamily. α-2-HS-glycoprotein and histidine-rich glycoprotein, which also map to chromosome 3.
