Abstract
The form of canalplasty described herein represents a versatile and time-tested technique that may be applied to a variety of clinical conditions, including meatal obstruction, soft tissue fibrosis, exostosis, and congenital aural atresia. The keys to success lie in creating an oversized cartilaginous and bony canal of equal diameter throughout while preserving the essential canal skin covering.
