Abstract

Intracellular analyses were used to elucidate some of the biophysical processes leading to the formation of auditory spatial receptive fields. Using intracellular labeling, the response properties of precisely identified ICx neurons were determined. The ability to see postsynaptic potentials and their translation to spikes showed some of the response properties that emerge in these neurons.
